I have to tell you. There is a very distinct feeling of privilege that accompanies photographing a day as significant as one's wedding day. Magnify that feeling by about a zillion when it is family. Not only do you get a backstage all-access pass to the festivities, but there is a sea of familiar faces and loved ones at every turn. I treasure my family, so it was an honour to have had this incredible day entrusted to our interpretation and artistry... one that I hold dear, and do not take lightly. Despite the few hiccups along the way, it was a day laced with abundant beauty. Is it okay to laugh yet, guys?? Too soon?) I tease because I love. It was going to take a heck of a lot more than a few missing articles (vows, undies, purses and ummmm, maybe a bridal suite... just to name a few) to put a damper on this celebration. The powers that be came through in a generous overcompensation, providing a beautiful blue sky, a breathtaking bride, a handsome groom, an amazingly photogenic wedding party and a plethora of magic moments throughout the day. So thank you again Ken and Becca, for bestowing this honour upon us. It gives me the warm fuzzies to think that these images will be gracing the walls of your home for generations to come, retelling over and over again the story of the day your new life began. I know that there were very important people missing from this momentous occasion in your lives... but they were there... I felt it. I hope Marc and I were able to capture the spirit, energy and joy of your day as you remember it. Much love!
