Or should I say... keeping up with ELI! This little man was on the move! I wish I had a tenth of his energy. For much of our session he wanted nothing to do with me, and everything to do with the Remembrance Day monument with the Lion on top. I can't say I blame him, the Lion was considerably more interesting than the crazy camera lady. The last time I attempted to bond with Mr. Jones Junior here, it became glaringly (embarrassingly, disturbingly) obvious that my go-to dinosaur database wasn't quite up to snuff. After being told that they were up his alley, I so cleverly inquired: "What's your favourite dinosaur, Eli?" To which he replied his favourite... naturally, the "Stegosaurus". I can't quite recall if I enthusiastically replied: "The Snaggosaurus!" or "The Steakosaurus!" Doesn't really matter, it was neither of those. Okay, so perhaps I had a nicely grilled steak on the brain, who knows. I admit that my dino-roster these days is a little lackluster, and that most three year olds could put my dinosaur knowledge to shame. What's a girl to do. (Ask me to recite ANY Little Mermaid song, and I'll show you who's boss!) But dinosaurs, nope. Not my thing, it may be time to brush up on them. I have said it before and I will say it again. I love meeting new people, and photographing them. But it is always a treat that I very much look forward to, when it is friends of mine returning to have photos taken. Little Miss Clara is a beauty just like her mama, with a disposition equally sweet and sunny. A beautiful family all around. Not a shabby way to spend an afternoon, not too shabby at all.
HELLO DARLIN.
NICE TO SEE YA.
