Robin Hood and Little Kath, creepin' through the forest... (sing it with me!) Oo-de-lally, Oo-de-lally golly, what a day. Welcome to my world, where everything is a song! If these pics don't inspire you to Carpe Diem like nobody's business, grab someone you love and head to the nearest hammock for a summer's day siesta -- I don't know what will. This sweet family looked so precious all cozied up that I didn't want to disturb them - so I prooooobably spent a little more time on the hammock portion of events than I needed to... BUT who was I to disrupt this bliss? Sometimes we get so caught up in the frenzy and busy side of life that we forget to enjoy the simple pleasures that are right in front of us, hence the fact that I couldn't help but let them enjoy their quiet moment. I would be willing to bet that there are many people who have hammocks that they rarely (if ever) use! I considered joining their little snuggle fest, but a) there didn't appear to be a lot of extra room, and b) wasn't quite sure if that would be appropriate or not? I'm thinking not. Perhaps a bit much for their first session with me. Had it been their second sesh? I so would have Carpe'd the heck out of my own Diem.
In lieu of crashing their party, I opted for meandering through the brush on a quiet quest to capture the moments you see below -- not a terrible sacrifice. We shot in and around their lovely home, and finished up at a nearby farmer's field on a back country road. (What they don't tell you when considering a photography career is the ridiculous amount of trespassing you'll do!) My motto is that ignorance is bliss, and I'd rather ask for forgiveness than permission! I'm such a rebel. What a beautiful way to spend a morning -- my heart was full -- such a peaceful, lovely set up they have. First time shooting in Elmsdale, and I loved it! Natasha and I actually used to be in a Book Club together (aka Eat, Drink and be Chatty Club) several years ago. Come to think of it, I miss our little book club... time to re-kindle the book worm flame Although I admit it. I was more of an imposter. Yup, there were some keeners who read all of the books - I simply was not one of them. I do love to read, I just don't do well with deadlines and pressure (not that there was any pressure with our group!) But, I'm strange. Probably the only woman on the planet who hasn't read Fifty Shades of Grey! The books I tend to lean towards are usually business or personal growth related, learning oriented, or spiritual in some capacity -- so much to learn, so many ways to continue growing. This is not to say that I won't EVER read Fifty Shades. As my good friend the Biebs says, (juuust kidding, I don't know him): "Never say Never." ;)
